Carey's musical influence started when he was only 2-feet-tall sitting in front of the band stage at numerous weddings and festivals!
He started playing trumpet in 5th grade at Prairieville Middle School. He was first chair trumpet all four years. Entering high school, Carey was one of the 1st part players in the marching band. As concert season rolled around, he became part of the Wind Symphonic Band. In his Jr. year, he moved up to the Wind Symphony Band.
Carey joined and help start his first band in the 8th grade, "Just For You." "Just For You" later became "Typikal Reason." 7½ years later, Carey became a member of Bits & Pieces (joining in March 2004).
When Carey was a little boy, his uncle gave him the nickname “MOJO” and it’s been working ever since.
Carey resides in St. Amant, LA.
Last, but not least, Carey would like to give a big thanks to his parents
for sticking with him through all the years.
