Pat started playing in the school band at St. Amant Middle  and East Ascension High school.  He played in some small groups from the eighth grade to high school.

In 1968, he started playing baritone sax in a nine-piece band called the Soul Impressions.  He also played in a band called BR&T which opened up the Kabara nightclub in the early 70's and was the house band for about a year.  He then joined the Rhythm Six band from LaPlace before becoming a Bits & Pieces member in 1992.

Pat married  Donna Acosta in 1973, who says being a band wife is a job in itself.  They have three children;  Eric,  Chet, and  Amy. They are also blessed with two wonderful daughter-in-laws, Michelle and Kelly.  They now have six grandsons and one grandaughter. Eric and Michelle have Brant, Brayden and Braxton. Chet and Kelly have Alexander and Grace,  Amy and Mickey have  Devon and Ryan.
